Responsibilities of Content Owners:
- Monitor completion rates for the compliance courses you oversee.
- Know the frequency at which your assigned audience is required/recommended to complete your compliance courses (e.g., annually, within the first 6 months, etc.).
- Review and make final decisions on waiver requests for compliance courses you oversee.
- Waiving courses – our recommendation
- Employees who provide evidence of completion of a compliance course from another CSU campus may be granted a waiver. Evidence from any other campus or institution would not be considered, as there is no way to verify the content.
- You must clearly cite your reasoning for granting each waiver on CSU Learn to ensure accurate record-keeping and audit trail.
- Waiving courses – our recommendation
- Collaborate with the Chancellor’s Office (CO) Learning & Development (L&D) Unit in addressing feedback related to your specific training.
- Recommend attending SumTotal Platform deep-dives hosted by the CO. During these meeting, the CO provide compliance course updates and it is your responsibility to be aware of those updates.
- Recommend attending the Chancellor’s Office (CO) Learning & Development (L&D) office-hours at your convenience as needed.
- Be well-versed in frequently asked questions related to errors that end-users may experience with your specific compliance courses.
- Example: the EHS IIPP training requires users to download 2 PowerPoints and pass a quiz.
- Example: The Discrimination & Harassment Prevention training requires users to download a PDF while keeping both the progress window and the training window open.
