Friday, September 16, 2016
Aligned with our HR values of equity and transparency, we would like to remind you of your excess vacation options!
There are a maximum credit accrual provisions established by the California State University (CSU) and Collective Bargaining Agreements. Accumulations in excess of the established limits, as of January 1 of each year, shall be forfeited if leave credits are not used by December 31, 2016. To check your leave balance and Vacation Accrual Chart for your maximum vacation accrual limit, sign in to:
http://www.sfsu.edu/login.htm > SF Gateway > Employee Services > CS and HR Self Service > My Benefits > Leave Balance (Graduated Vacation Chart)
If it appears that you will accrue excess leave, please work with your supervisor to plan time off which will not disrupt University operations, particularly during the month of December and semester’s end.
Please note that you may donate up to 40 hours of leave (depending on collective bargaining agreements) in a fiscal year to the Catastrophic Leave Donation Program. For more information on Catastrophic Leave Donation or to donate leave, go to:
